"Creating Value from Communications Technology"

    Broadband and Data services

Reliable Internet access is critical for most businesses.  There is also much change from new, faster technologies such as ADSL2+.

Our Partner Products

Our data portfolio gives you reliable, flexible and secure services to meet all of your needs. We offer a comprehensive range of access technologies to connect all your sites:

  • Head office
  • Branch sites
  • Remote workers
  • International offices.

Connecting your offices: IP and MPLS networks have finally come of age and reliability, but not all networks are the same.  Look for clear service level agreement with guaranteed uptimes and compensation.  Private circuits from 64K to 10Gbit/s UK or International.

Broadband or (ADSL) is a permanent high-speed digital connection.  ADSL technology provides a cost effective internet connection, ideal for businesses and for home users accessing corporate networks or IP voice services.  We are fully versed on the latest technologies available and up to date with the best offerings from all the major carriers and service providers.  ADSL is available in various bandwidths, the most popular being our ADSL Max product with up to 448kbps upload and 8mbps download, with prices starting from only £29.99 a month.

SDSL - (Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line) uses a dedicated standard copper line (a normal analogue line such as the one you would have at home). SDSL is ideal where there is a requirement for high bandwidth data transfer both up and downstream. This service is very similar to ADSL with the key difference being that just like an expensive, dedicated ISDN line for internet access, an SDSL connection provides the same levels of bandwidth and speed (speed of data transfer) both when uploading files and downloading files. In the majority of cases, SDSL is considerably cheaper than the alternative ISDN line that might usually be used. More over, existing ISDN users can usually convert lines to SDSL with nominal changes to equipment. The only disadvantage of SDSL is that it's not available everywhere in the country.

Data Circuit: Tconsult can fulfil all your data needs from Internet connection and point to point leased lines through to the design and deployment of MPLS and VoIP enabled networks.  Our strategic partnerships allow us to "novate" (transfer or port) existing data contracts to deliver immediate savings. This is useful when users may find themselves mid term with their current provider, where normally, you would have to wait for the contract term to run before changing supplier. This is especially relevant when the incumbent supplier is one of the two main Tier 1 carriers.

There is significant choice and competition in this area and critically, many different service levels and products from which to choose. Often, the price is determined by the speed of response or Service Level Guarantees in the event of a problem. We are perfectly positioned to help and advise on complete projects, from design and implementation through to ongoing cost and usability review.

Leased lines usually means lines which are connected at two customer specified points. This is different to a line that is connected to the Internet to deliver access to your network users, although the line type (ISDN) and signalling is usually the same.

Customers require routeing equipment at either end of a leased line. We recommend Cisco equipment above all others and will be pleased to help you choose the right equipment for your application.

Typically, businesses that need to use leased lines are sharing data across a network. Maybe you operate a chain of retail outlets and want to collect till and customer data in real time and deliver this back to head office? Or maybe you simply want to be connected to a second remote site for the purposes of receiving inbound phone calls. Whatever your needs, from a basic requirement to connect a new site into your network, through to design and implementation of a nationwide data network based on MPLS, we are perfectly positioned to assist you.

Mobile Data Access: With very fast speeds mobile working is now a reality. Get access to your corporate organisation no matter where you happen to be.

Security & Firewall issues: Are you immune to potential attacks?  Do you need to restrict access to unsuitable web sites?

Supplier Re-negotiation: If you’ve an existing network and don’t feel you're getting the best value or their service levels are letting you down?

Integration & Consultancy: Simply mix our knowledge of telecommunications with your market knowledge to give your business a leading edge, whatever your objectives may be.
